​Hello! Welcome to my website. I'm so happy you've found me.
Making art has been a lifelong journey beginning in childhood with making my own paper dolls and drawing on the walls.

I loved my childhood picture books, especially an edition of Grimm's Fairytales and the Little Bear books. Dreaming of making my own children's books someday, I joined the Society of Children's Book Writers
​& Illustrators and a writing critique group. After COVID I took many Make Art That Sells courses and later formed a wonderful critique group on Zoom with these newfound illustrator friends.

Whimsical characters and their worlds are my favorite subjects to create. I especially love drawing cute animals, bugs, sea creatures and people, along with beach scenes, forests and sweet cottages. Color palettes are super important in my work and are used to convey mood and feelings. Viewers and customers have told me how my art evokes feelings of warmth and love. I usually create with mixed-media and Procreate. And I do mean "Mixed-Media." I love using gouache and watercolor paints, Tombow and Copic markers, and loads of colored pencils. Sometimes, collage is added to the mix. 

I recently took part in an Instagram challenge, #100dayproject. I created a collage a day for 100 days. It was a joyous experience! Please take a peek at all 100 collages.

I am in the midst of writing my own children's stories, as well as preparing book dummies for these stories.
